50 YEARS IN MUSIC: A CELEBRATION THROUGH SOUND

50 years of @‌arpoador.rio won an iconic celebration with good sound waves. For each decade – from its foundation to the present day – Tecla Music created a playlist with the sound memories that rock the vibe of the music. Hotel Arpoador. In the 5 decade series, the playlists evoke guests' emotions and experiences over time.

1974

The time when the hotel was born also brought the unmistakable groove of Soul Music. On national soil, an effervescent mix of style clashed with samba and MPB.

80's 

In the 1980s, international pop exploded with synthesizers and electronic beats, while here in Brazil, national rock gained strength and expression. 

90's 

Diversity marked the 1990s. Rock, hip hop and axé dominated the charts! 

00's

The 2000s and 2010s brought the rise of digital music, indie, R&B and the new MPB – reflecting an increasingly connected and multicultural world.

2020's 

The current decade is also represented with exclusive sound research, bringing tracks that reflect the zeitgeist of what we have that is most contemporary.
